Eating With the Seasons

Becky Herbert started the Eating With the Seasons CSA to build on the CSA her Dad had started. This CSA offers produce and other products from a variety of sources. From the Herbert Family Farm you'll get juicy strawberries, red and yellow onions, bell peppers, and artichokes. In addition to her family farm, Becky works with Phil Foster Ranches, Windsor Family Farm, TLC Ranch and other local producers to offer you granola, olive oil, fresh eggs, fair trade coffee, and a wide ranch of fruits and veggies.

Two Small Farms

Two Small Farms is a collaboration between High Ground Organics and Mariquita Farm in Watsonville and Hollister. High Ground Organics farms the cool coastal bluffs of Watsonville and specializes in berries, flowers, and cool weather crops. Mariquita Farm grows in the warmer inland region of the Bolsa in between Hollister and Gilroy and takes responsibility for heat-loving crops like tomatoes, peppers, melons, cucumbers, and basil. Together the farms send out a mixed box of vegetables, greens, and fruits each week with flowers for those who wish.

Terra Firma Farm

Terra Firma Farm grows vegetables and fruit year-round on 99 acres of fields and orchards along Putah Creek, just west of Winters, at the hilly edge of the Sacramento Valley. Terra Firmsa's CSA is filled throughout the year with the bounty of their farm including green beans, broccoli, cauliflower, red cabbage, cherries, summer squash, asparagus, spring onions, english peas, strawberries, and much more.

Tomatero Farm

Tomatero Farm offered their first ever tomato CSA last summer. Tomatero Farm is a small organic farm in Watsonville; they grow a wide variety of tomatoes, berries, and greens. For just 12 weeks or so they delivered farm-fresh organic heirloom tomatoes. We're hoping they do a repeat performance this summer!  In the meanwhile you can read more about Tomatero Farm on their website.

Eatwell Farm

Eatwell Farm is a 65-acre farm in the Sacramento Valley, three miles north of Dixon. Eatwell Farm grows hundreds of different crops. They are especially proud of their tomatoes, and grow many different varieties. Along with their tomatoes they grow a variety of other fruits and veggies. A late spring box included spring onions, green garlic, potatoes, mint, lettuce, stir-fry mix, strawberries, parsley, cherries, and asparagus.

Nearest pickup: Check with Eatwell – they have a variety of San Francisco spots.

Capay Organic

Capay Fruits & Vegetables is a second generation organic farm which got its start in the Coastal Range's Capay Valley 90 miles northeast of San Francisco. Their Farm Fresh to You CSA is unique in that it offers home or office delivery, and wider variety of options than most CSAs. Capay now also farms in Imperial County in southern California, so if you'd like items only from Capay Valley choose one of their Capay Valley services instead of their regular services.

While Capay does deliver to your home or office, we're happy to receive your box here at Cooks Boulevard if that's inconvenient (for example, you live in an apartment or don't have a place where the box can be stashed). Please let us know in advance if you'd like us to receive your box.

Nearest pickup: Delivered to your door, or pick up at Cooks Boulevard

Good Humus Farm

Good Humus Produce is a small family farm, owned and run by Jeff and Annie Main. Jeff and Annie farm 20 acres of certified organic land in a little valley called the Hungry Hollow in Capay, northwest of Sacramento. They started farming in 1976 after they both graduated from UC Davis and decided they wanted to start something BIG. They grow a variety of vegetables, fruits, and herbs on their farm, and trade produce neighboring farms for an even larger variety.

The Good Humus CSA is a little different from the other CSAs. With this CSA you'll contribute a little of your labor by helping sort fruits and veggies about three times per season. The sorting happens in the Presidio. When you're not sorting, your basket will be distributed to your door. We're happy to receive your box here at Cooks Boulevard if that's inconvenient (for example, you live in an apartment or don't have a place where the box can be stashed). Please let us know in advance if you'd like us to receive your box, and make sure to double-check with your cluster leader to make sure it's ok.
