Product Parade: Cuisipro Herb Keeper

by Malcolm

There are a bunch of herb keeper on the market, but this new one from Cuisipro seems like it might be a winner. According to a product designer at Cuisipro that we spoke with at the show in Chicago, its design inspiration is the classic diner straw dispenser. Sure you can rig up your own herb container (a cup of water covered with a plastic bag works well), but this saves you the trouble and is easy to use.

What do we like about it?

  1. There's nothing take apart to get your herbs out. You simply lift the lid and pluck away. The green band in the middle has little flippers that hold up the container of herbs when you lift it, so you just pull up the top and let go, and it will sit on the green band. When you are done, a little push sends it back down
  2. When you lift the top, the perforated bottom allows the water to drain off the herbs and back into the container so you don't make a mess when you are pulling the herbs out.

What do you think?

Our Product Parade is a chance for you to give feedback on products we saw at the Chicago Housewares show. Let us know what you think!
